Desert Shine Window Cleaning received its name in honor of Douglas Compton III's father, Douglas Compton Jr, who originally started the business in 2001. Working alongside his father throughout his high school years, he learned early on what it meant to work hard for your money. Taking on his fathers business in 2006 after he retired was an honor. Due to the unfortunate circumstances of the market crashing, Desert Shine had to come to an end and close it's doors in 2011.

Fast forward to 2019! Wanting to make a comeback and make more for a living, Desert Shine Window Cleaning reopened and there couldn't have been a better time. Business owners and operators, Doug & Danyel Compton were newlyweds and they were ready to take on this adventure together. You can say most newlyweds use their wedding gift money on honeymoons or new appliances for their home. Not Doug and Danyel. With all the knowledge Doug had from his years of working with his father they invested their money into their future. Purchasing all the appropriate equipment, acquiring business licenses, insurances. They were ready for it all. The first 6 months of business was a slow start. Making those connections again, marketing, going door to door, whatever it took to build that cliental back up, they would make this business better than before.

2020. Yup. You guessed it. A pandemic. 

Oddly enough when Las Vegas and the world basically shut down, this was one of their busiest times! Nobody could leave on vacations for the summer, and everybody was doing home improvements and working from home. Slowly but surely, all the calls started coming in and they haven't stopped since.
